Solo PvP - Guild Wars Forums

This is my first time posting here, becasue usually i can find anything i want to know already. I was wondering though if there is a way to fight a friend in PvP one on one. I am pretty sure there is not, other than getting 6 guild member and all wait till we get to fight the right team and let the 2 people go at it. If there isn't at the moment does any one know if there will be later on because i think that it would be alot of fun for friends and guild member alike.

It was talked about a lot in Beta but it seems to have too many flaws.
Never mind about the xp gain etc but even if the whole thing was for fun, some battles would never end!

We managed to get a battle of 4 vs 4 that was a No-Win battle. After 10 mins 1 of our team quit and we carried on 3 vs 4, just playing defensive. After another 5 mins we all yelled STOP and just started laughing.
We then all agreed to just quit out of the arena and do something else. lol

(For those of you who were with The Awakening that day - hehe. Wasn't that a mad game?)

In a 1 vs 1 contest then this would happen all the time. It would be a battle of who can be bothered to not quit.

I have also got in those long 4v4 games, but usually in random pickup arena and not team arena. I do understand the Exp part which would make a problem unless you gave it no exp, but i dont see 1v1 going on forever ALL the time. I guess i will just get to hope for a long long time....

There's a team arena for 4v4 games? or did you mean the 8v8?

There is the competion arena, which is a 4v4 team and all random, which you can get to from Lions Arch.....by the boat where you buythe guild hall..... and there is the team arenas 4v4 teams you get to pick out. This one is in Droknars. I didn't think there were any 8v8 other than primeval king?
